As a previous nursing student turned entrepreneur, she's had extreme success with social media. Weston started with a blog to share her entrepreneurial experiences with the world and created the “The Tottie Brand.” This brand launched in June 2013 after she decided to pursue some of her passions in front of the camera. Weston has expanded her brand through connections with Loren Ridinger, founder of Motives Cosmetics, Market America and ShopCom Deals and many other successful entrepreneurs. After strategic networking via Twitter, Weston landed an opportunity with Ridinger as a guest blogger for Ridinger’s website.
“Social media is the best because there are so many opportunities to connect with successful, professional people,” Weston said. After experiencing great accomplishments with social media, she decided to write her first book on the early stages of entrepreneurship. In just six months, Weston wrote and published “10 Effective Ways to Start Your Business with 0 Dollars.” “I wanted to encourage other aspiring entrepreneurs to go for it!” she said. “Working a 9 to 5 and lack of money are no longer excuses in our world.”
Oftentimes, aspiring entrepreneurs allow lack of finances to stop them from building their empire. Weston shares social media strategies and more to help jump start a business. In addition to “The Tottie Brand,” Weston also owns Eloquence Enterprises, a company focused on assisting business owners and budding entrepreneurs in kick starting their businesses through logo design, biography writing, graphic design and more. She is currently working on her second book that explains the challenges she experienced with friends and family after deciding to follow her dreams.
“What you go through has a lot to do with where you're going,” Weston said.
