Fashion Focus Chicago wouldn’t be complete without a show featuring some of the city’s emerging artists.

On Tuesday, the designers of the Chicago Fashion Incubator (CFI) hosted their 2011 Runway Show. Presented by Macy’s, this annual event spotlighted the designers in residence from the city’s fashion program and showcased some of their best pieces from their individual collections.

Guests sipped on drinks and savored treats at the VIP reception prior to the fashion show.

Live music from DJ Megan Taylor of Fig Media, and violinist Katarina Visnevska of the Gold Coast All Stars, set the tone for models to rip the runway at this one-of-a-kind fashion affair. This year’s collections included Cettina by Concetta Cipriano, Shavonne Dorsey Apparel by Shavonne Dorsey, Eric Kipp by Eric Kipp, Modahnik by Kahindo Mateene, Gidi by Taneasha Prunty and Crystal B. Designs by Crystal B. Simms.

The CFI alum designers who were also featured in this year’s show were Miriam Cecilia by Miriam Cecilia Carlson, C/FAN by Christina Fan, Anna Hovet by Anna Hovet, Dottie’s Delights by Stephanie Kuhr, Agga B. by Agga B. Raya, Nonnie by Jonnie Rettele, Cynthia Ryba by Cynthia Ryba, Killian Gui by Donaldo Smith and Evil Kitty by Lidia Wachowska.
