Today, being a singer or actor is not good enough anymore. Many celebrities feel they need to have their own clothing line to express their unique styles. Some celebrities have had some successful lines like Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers and Beyonce’s House of Dereon. When putting out a clothing line. you need to know about the different types of fabrics and how you want your brand to look. Not everyone can become a fashion designer; it takes more than a famous name to sell a clothing line. Let’s take a closer look at some of these lines.

l L.A.M.B and Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani. Gwen Stefani has a unique style; she is always wearing something different. She has two lines which the average person can afford. The L.A.M.B collection is classy with a twist. Stefani does not follow any trends with her collection; she is always making new trends. The L.A.M.B collection is a little more expensive (although you can always find sales on the website.) It is more of an edgy look with style. You can find an outfit to wear to the office, and a classy dress to wear at night with friends. Her other line, Harajuku Lovers, has a preppy look with color. The Harajuku Lovers line features her signature Love Angel Music Baby Harajuku girls. The line has sweat pants and jeans and different T-shirts with the Harajuku Lovers on them. Harajuku Lovers average prices range from $8.50 to $52.99.

House of Dereon by Beyonce. When you first look at this line, you don’t see a collection. The line seems like its missing something. The line almost looks likes an upgrade version of Baby Phat. There have been these beautiful pictures of Beyonce in House of Dereon new collection. But the pictures do not reflect the collection available. If you’re a young girl, you will find something to wear in this collection, maybe a nice pair of jeans. Average prices range from $29 to $98.

Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons has been popular for many years. Her line is for younger girls who are between the ages of 14 to 21. The collection has bright and glittery clothes which will attract a much younger group. There is something in the collection for everyone who has their own style. Average prices rage from $24 to $69. Simmons has come out with a newer line for the young woman in all of us. KLS is a younger fresher line for young women who are looking for something classy to wear. KLS is more expensive, but every dollar is worth it.

Sean John by Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. This collection has always had a classic look for young men. The line has everyday wear with jeans, fitted shirts button-ups, jackets and blazers and coats. What makes this line interesting is the preppy look turned formal. Combs noticed many young men wanting to move away from wearing baggy shirts and jeans. They wanted something nicer but not too formal. Shirts and jeans start at $68.

Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream by Pharrell. The name says it all. You will have to be a billionaire to afford anything from both lines. Billionaire Boys Club collection has a preppy and skater look with many light colors. This whole line seems overpriced; it seems like the customer is paying for the name, not the brand. Ice Cream clothing looks just like ice cream. Most of the jeans have ice cream stains dripping down at the top. There is no wow factor in either of these brands. Most of the clothes on both sites are sold out of clothes. I’m sure the clothes sell fast because all of the clothes are one of a kind.
