A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a visual truly tells a story. Taneasha Prunty, fashion designer of GIDI (www.gidionline.com), recently presented her Autumn/Winter 2013 collection at a “Fall in Love Intimate Premiere” at 312 Chicago’s Tasting Room. Prior to partaking in a delightful lunch, Taneasha served a select number of media guests a special serving of a soft launch of her latest creations. Inspired by the feminine figures of the 1920s, Taneasha used silk, wool blends and couture jersey to achieve this look. As models showcased her designs, the Chicago native described the creative process behind each piece and her reasons for the use of black and cream as her staple colors in this collection. The designer achieved what she wanted to accomplish: creating timeless, elegant pieces for women that are simple, with a polished and sophisticated touch.

The former Chicago Fashion Incubator designer truly believes in giving back to the community that fostered her talents and continues to show her support. GIDI will give a portion of sales from this collection to Live Out Loud Charity (LOLC) (www.liveoutloudcharity.org), a grassroots non-profit organization that focuses on suicide awareness and prevention for those who are at risk.
