Plus-Size Shopping

What is one thing that all women love to do? Shop! But finding great clothes that fit may be a challenge for many plus-size women. Oftentimes we find clothing that looks as though it’s made for someone older or way younger. I’m here to make it a little easier by giving you the names of some places I love to shop, and how you can go about getting their clothing.

ps

Let’s start off with Lane Bryant. This is one the biggest retailers for plus-size women’s clothing in the U.S. Lane Bryant offers sizes 14 to 32 and free measurements if you’re unsure of what size you wear. Lane Bryant has a wide variety of clothing for the working woman, housewife or young woman on the go. Lane Bryant is featured in many states and also has a website available for you to purchase the merchandise that’s in stores and then some. Prices are a little high, but you will find great investment pieces here.

Torrid is another place I love to shop. Prices are a tab bit lower than Lane Bryant, and they offer sizes 12-28.  Torrid is geared toward teens and young adults offering trendy styles of clothing and accessories. Torrid also offers online purchasing if you do not have one in your area.

Ashley Stewart is another great place to shop. They offer sizes 14-26, selling urban style clothing. If you are a woman who steps, they have perfect clothing for those outings. Ashley Stewart also has a website for your convenience. Prices here are a bit more reasonable than the above two, making this a great place to shop if you don’t want to break your pockets on one purchase.

The Avenue is yet another store catering to plus-size women, offering sizes 14 to 32. While The Avenue has a bigger variety when it comes to size, clothing prices are virtually the same as Ashley Stewart. This store offers a clothing style to suit all needs, and has a website if there isn’t a store near you.

Now if you are looking for great plus-size clothing on a budget, which I often am, then you’ll love these last two stores.

Dots is a great place for any woman on a budget, offering sizes 14-24, and a trendy style of clothing. Now, this store may not have the size you’re looking for, but if they do you may just want to scoop up all you can find!

Another place for women on a budget is Fashion Bug. They offer sizes 14-30, targeted at any woman who wants to look good for less. This place features a website for your purchases, since it’s very likely they will not be in your area.

Keep in mind that there are many places for us plus-size women to shop. We just have to do a little more digging to get what we want. For complete information on any of the stores named above, please visit their websites.  Now being plus-sized never looked so good!
