It’s that time of year for the annual Women’s Business Development Center Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference in Chicago. On Thursday, September 20, hundreds will gather for the 26th annual event presented by the Women’s Business Development Center at McCormick Place-West. Entrepreneur Lisa Price, founder of the multi-million dollar beauty line Carol’s Daughter, will deliver the keynote address at the Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon.

The awards luncheon will celebrate the accomplishments of female business owners, as well as those who support the growth of women entrepreneurs. The conference will also include a Women’s Business & Buyer’s Mart, which features more than 200 business representatives who support women-owned businesses and companies. Chicago Sun Times syndicated financial columnist and best-selling author Terry Savage will moderate the Women’s Forum panel during the Women’s Forum Breakfast. Guest panelists for this year’s discussion include Sue Bhatia, CEO of Rose International, Inc., Christie Hefner, executive chairman of Canyon Ranch Enterprises and former CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Laura Ricketts, chairman of the board and director of the Chicago Cubs and Richelle Shaw, CEO of RTS Publishing, LLC.

With workshops and roundtable discussions, current and prospective business owners can gain a wealth of knowledge and connections at this annual networking event from other entrepreneurs in various industries.

“The 26th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference this year, featuring the Women’s Business & Buyers Mart, is the oldest conference and business opportunities fair for women in business and the premier event for women business owners in the Midwest,” says Hedy M. Ratner, co-president of the Women’s Business Development Center. “It offers women business owners real-world solutions to the current business problems they face and the opportunity to increase the profitability of their businesses by building relationships with corporate and government buyers, business experts and other women business owners.”
