When April Lewis is not striking a pose, the Chicago-based freelance model is a process service coordinator who is involved in the management of the service of legal documents. The organization she works for is the liaison between clients, process servers and courthouses. Family is very important to her and she says she will do anything in her power to help and take care of her loved ones. She also loves fashion, music, learning and giving back. April loves to learn new things because having knowledge and using it in the right ways makes her life richer. She volunteers at food pantries and is passionate about giving her time to those who truly need it. Knowing that she helped someone makes her heart and soul feel incredible. April believes true beauty li es in not how we look, but who we are and what we do in life.
In the realm of her 
modeling endeavors, April aspires to do commercial print work. She has gained a great deal of experience after modeling for only a year. Her modeling experience includes over 18 fashion shows, over 20 photo shoots, five model features in publications including Essence, two commercials and a music video. She’s appeared in several fashion shows, such as the Fashion Fetish Fete (now known as Fashion and Arts Humanity Fete), Carol's Daughter Natural Hair Mall Tour, Red Carpet Concierge of Chicago and Chicago Couture Fashion Week. She has worked with with Steven Khan celebrity photographer, Billy Montgomery Photography, Megan Martinez (Chaos Makeup), Design Essentials (Proud Lady Hair Show), Chicago-based Hip Hop artist Pennjamin Bannekar and many more very talented clients.
April truly believes education is key in this industry as she always pursues ways to educate herself on how the fashion industry works. Whether it's learning how agencies operate, finding out about scams that are emerging or conversing with very experienced industry professionals, April makes every effort to keep herself in the loop on relevant information. She says there are a plethora of attractive models out there, but a smart model is a supermodel!
