What happens when you take politics and add a dose of fashion? You get “The Politics of Fashion”, the brainchild of Aaja Corinne The Brand and Team Takeover.

Last Thursday, guests gathered for a fundraiser at The Shrine in Chicago to support Illinois State Senate candidate Dr. Patricia Van Pelt Watkins of the 5th District. Special guests at the event included Secretary of State Jesse White and Illinois State Senator Emil Jones.

After the networking and cocktail hour, guests watched the “Prim and Proper” fashion showcase that featured designs from local designers Adela Red, ADNARAMFemme, Pink Bubblegum Boutique and Socialite by Veronica Ariel.
