Grace NgDung says she’s a fan of the old school MJ music, and even if she had the money, she wouldn’t spend it to go to his final concerts. Supposedly, Jackson will earn salary of 1 million pounds per night. “I guess if he needs to get out of debt that way, its okay--we all do different things to pay off debts. He just happens to be a pop star,” says aspiring artist, NgDung.
Derya Kaplan from Germany says that she couldn’t get tickets in time to go to the concert. “I think it is very smart to do it in London because it is central [and] Michael has always been very welcome and successful in the UK. It's more practical for Michael and his kids to stay at one place and not to be on the road,” says Kaplan. “I think it is foolish and blind to say he's doing it only for money.”
He had great success throughout his lifetime, and now his fans are either excited or irritated with his dramatic announcement about his last ever performances.
Here is what a few other Jackson fans have to say:
Armin Rastegar
“I have seen his concerts and they were terrific. I think he is gonna have more concerts because his fans don't let him have some rest on his bench. I love him.”
Ell Wilson—high school student
“I'm not going as the tickets are all sold out, but I’d really love to. He's a phenomenal artist and the best dancer in the world! I don’t think he's doing the tour to get out of debt, he is doing his last ever tour to show the fans one last time. I think he should have did a gig in America though, as he has tons of fans still. My favorite songs are “Smooth Criminal” and “Black or White.”
Georgia Pignolet
“I have not seen him in concert because I am 16, but I would just love too!
I think it is a great thing for him to do because that is what he is good at (singing and performing).”
