Just the Other Day...

My phone is eerily silent, after so much noise…the other night.

You seem to have forgotten my name…things seemed changed, far from the same

You have nothing to tell me, nothing at all left to say

g

But just … the … other… day …

I lay in your arms, and you stroked my hair

You made me blush, smile … turn away from your intense stare

You called me beautiful and said I was special

But just … the … other … day …

Now I sit here wondering what’s going on

Are you just busy, is your time merely torn?

Or did you only want me on that day

Did you not want to know me on any other level, in any other way

But just … the … other … day …

I thought I waited long enough

We are grown and I’m weary of playing it so tough

So I chose to believe in the moment, go with the flow

Clearly where this was headed I had no clue, no way to know

That after this one … night.

I’d be gone from your mind, long from your thoughts

Out of your sight

My phone is eerily silent, after so much noise … the other night
